About Greenlight Initiative

Our Initiative Greenlight Initiative was founded in 2006. Greenlight Initiative was formed with an aggressive goal to replace all major lighting applications with a practical cost saving solution- Solid State Lighting. We realized that although there were a host of products already market available for common lighting applications, we had a difficult time finding an LED flashlight that performed properly.
During that time we were forced to make a tough business decision. Do we present the available product to our clients, or do we wait? Well, we waited, but not idly. We began to purchase and test different SSL (solid sate lighting) or "LED" general lighting products that were being advertised as market ready. Through his process we earned our LED-ucation the hard way, and we are extremely happy that our clients did not have to.
We now represent some of the top manufacturers in the solid state lighting industry. We provide solutions to the municipal, commercial, real estate, ESCO, distribution, direct to the end-user client, & design communities. If there is an application that GLI does not have a product product for, we will tell you were to get it, or it does not exist in the market.
Greenlight Initiative will always guide you to the right product for your application whether we represent it or not. We are advocates first, providers second, and that is the way we will remain. Our integrity and our reputation is our top priority, and the products that we represent are a direct reflection of who we are. We have done our homework so you do not have to.

September SSL Summit driving LED lighting quality message

Bringing together property/facility decision makers, designers, luminaire manufacturers
and enabling technology providers, the 2010-2011 SSL Summit series, hosted by
Solid State Lighting Design, has taken a strong stance in its approach to help
boost a "quality only" message inside the LED lighting industry. The
East coast edition is slated for September 14-15 in New York City, with the
West coast follow-on happening January 19-20, 2011 in the Los Angeles area.

Mellina Utilizes Lighting Expert Greenlight Initiative for new Marcos Pizza Locations

Greenlight Initiative (GLI), an LED-lighting sales and solutions provider based in New York, New York USA , reports that it has completed the installation of an LED-based lighting system for the first of a number of new Marco's Pizza franchise restaurants across Georgia. Greenlight Initiative Selects Array Lighting from Nexxus

The Greenlight Initiative, a New York-based LED lighting sales and solutions provider, reports that it has completed the qualification of the LED-based replacement lamp product line from Nexxus Lighting.
With testing and evaluation complete, Greenlight and Nexxus have concluded a national and municipal/public works accounts sales agreement for Nexxus' full line of Array products including PAR30, PAR16, MR16 and GU10-type LED replacement lamp products.
The Greenlight initiative contends that when compared to compact fluorescent "spiral" bulbs, Nexxus' LED-based lamps provide superior energy efficiency, improved color quality, and vastly improved lamp life of up to 50,000 hours.
