The Selection and Safety of LED Tubes

Ideal for recreational and entertainment purposes, LED illumination can be effectively incorporated as a replacement for the traditional neon light tube. Available in all the colors of the rainbow, LED tubes take two main forms. One approach is to base the design on unbreakable "light guides" that contain a single light source at the end of the tube. In this approach, Led tubes can be colored to produce a bright color effect in the daylight power-off state. In the second approach, a string of colored LEDs is encased in a flexible tube to provide the segmented lighting effect.
